Bryant Lady Hornets using myelin sheath
BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) -- It's called myelin. The main purpose of a myelin layer, or sheath, is to increase the speed at which impulses propagate.
In Bryant Lady Hornets softball coach Debbie Clark's words, "They condition the weakness of every player and reinforce their strengths in practice so that the weaknesses aren't weaknesses anymore."
It's a mental approach to the game where it's played in the mind before it's actually played on the field.
The Lady Hornets are a perfect 31-0 and hope to win their third straight 7A state title in 2012.
